Birth Anniversary of Sri Mrigendra Mohan Guha
1st March is the birth anniversary of Sri Mrigendra Mohan Guha, a humanist, whose life inspired us to work for the downtrodden. Every year we observe the day with some special people.
It was 94th birth anniversary of Late Mrigendra Mohan Guha on 1st March 2020. This year we observed the day with the children of Vivekananda Sewabrata Samity, Lauhati, 24 parganas (N).
The program started with a floral tribute to Mrigendra Mohon Guha by the children. Then, our Secretary paid homage to Sri Guha, a great human being and our inspiration to stand by the suffering humanity. She touched upon the activities of Kholo Aankhi during the last 10 years in short.
The representative of Vivekananda Sewabrata Samity placed before us their activities which are concentrated mainly on imparting learning support to the children of the primary section. We are amazed to know that there are around 50 school students from low economic backgrounds get learning support from this organization. Not only that they also arrange drawing classes for these children.
Thereafter, the cultural program started. The children enthralled all by their beautiful presentation of the song, dance, and recitation. We donated Rs 10000/- to the Samity for organizing a visit to the Alipore Zoo by the children and to give them a much-awaited fun-filled day.
The program ended with thanks given by our president on behalf of Kholo Aankhi for presenting this beautiful evening to the organizers of Samity, the teachers and with profuse love for the children. We distributed sweets to all present at the end. We pray for their prosperous future.
Kholo Aankhi tries to support as many needy children as possible with our limited economic competency. We are thankful to our friends and well-wishers of Kholo Aankhi for supporting our cause. We hope, with their support, we may reach needy people in the future.
