We wish Srabanti, Sukanta, and Somnath all success in life.

Apart from those, we are giving support to many other students coming from impoverished families keen to pursue their studies but do not get proper support from their families due to financial stringency.

Till now we served 36 students coming from impoverished families to pursue their studies uninteruptedly. We owe to our supporters to continue these services.

Four of them reading in High schools in class VIII & IX are from urban areas, and four are from rural backgrounds who read in class XI scoring more than 80% in their Madhyamik examination overcoming all impediments.

Two students read in 1st year Zoology Honours, one is in Final Year B.Tech (Electrical) and one is a student of 2nd year MBBS.

Among the four students of class XI, Kholo Aankhi has arranged for special preparatory coaching at centers of repute for Joint Entrance Examinations for two to fulfill their dream of becoming a Doctor and Engineer respectively.

Students

Nikhita Paramanik lives in a remote village in the district, of Purulia, West Bengal, and passed the Madhyamik examination in 2019, with high marks. Her father being a barber by profession was not in a position to bear her educational expenses for class XI – XII  but Nikhita was very keen to continue her studies.

During our visit to Purulia, after a detailed discussion with her and her family members, we decided to support her in her studies. She passed her Higher Secondary examination in 2021 and qualified for GNM. Now she is a student of 2nd year nursing at Deben Mahato Medical College and Hospital, Purulia. Kholo Aankhi is providing full support for her nursing studies including college fees, cost of books, other allied expenses, and hostel charges.

Rahul Paramanik, brother of Nikhita, passed his Madhyamik examination in 2021 and qualified for Polytechnic Engineering through ZEXPO. Now he is a student in 2nd year of Polytechnic engineering, getting full financial assistance from Kholo Aankhi.

Anuska Sanyal, a visually challenged girl with 90% blindness is studying English Honors, 1st year at Barasat Government College after scoring 95% in her  Higher Secondary examination in 2022. Her father belongs to a lower-income group and is unable to bear her educational expenses. Considering all aspects, Kholo Aankhi took full responsibility for her studies.

In 2018 we came to know about a girl of 9 years, Aishika Ghosh who had been suffering from Thalasaemia major, and bone marrow transplantation was the only means of her survival. The hospital gave an estimate of about 50 lacks and it was impossible for her father to manage the fund of his own.

He was trying for donations and crowd funding. We stood by the family and paid for her pre-operation treatment like blood transfusion, medication, and others during 2018 – 2019 to keep her fit for the transplantation process till her father could arrange the money in which we shared Rs.3 lacs.

In 2019 she underwent bone marrow transplantation and after prolonged treatment became completely cured. Aishika never attended formal schools during her childhood due to her health hazards.

In 2022 after preparing herself as per standard, she was admitted to class V in a nearby school. Her father, being a small businessman and after facing such a devastating situation is not in a position to bear the entire expenses of her education. Kholo Aankhi decided to stand by Aishika to enable her to carry on her studies by providing her school fees and some other expenses.
