Kholo Aankhi has organized a cultural program on 22nd Dec 2019 at Mukta Mancha, Laketown, Kolkata to mark the completion of 10 years of its journey.

Sri Amarendra Nath Das, a renowned social activist graced the occasion as Chief Guest. ‘Kichu Katha Kichu Chhobi‘- a PowerPoint presentation showed the way we traveled so far.

The participants of the second phase of the programme were mostly the beneficiaries of our education project ‘Sahajpath‘. The students of Sahajpath, Basanti Devi Colony sang under the direction of Smt. Sila Pal (our teacher). Lachima Khatun, a student of 1st batch of Sahajpath, Kalyani and Srabanti Dey of Kolkata, who is still in touch with us since 2012 performed the dance.

Four children of ‘Katha O Kahini‘, an organization for teaching recitation performed in a group. Some girl inmates of Baruipur Sitakunda Sneha Kunja Home performed Christmas Carol and played the violin. In that home, we observed Sri Mrigendra Mohan Guha’s Birth anniversary in 2019. Balukabela Pramanik, one of our beneficiaries moved the audience by her beautiful vocal recital.

Children of Sahajpath, Sarada Pally staged ‘Dushan Dushman‘, a drama to make aware the people regarding effect of pollution on our life was directed by the Post Graduate students of drama department of Rabindra Bharati University.

Smt. Sikha Pal conducted the whole program in a befitting manner. Smt. Jhunu Ghose, Secretary, Kholo Aankhi and Sri Milan Mazumdar, President, Kholo Aankhi convey our heartfelt thanks to our friends, well-wishers, members, parents of children and local people who made the program a grand success.

We convey our special thanks to Smt. Krinishnakali Mitra, our friend, and well-wisher for gifting storybooks to all the participants as a symbol of friendship.
