Frederick Douglass taught that literacy is the path from slavery to freedom. Adult literacy program Alor Pathe started with a view “to educate a woman is to educate a family”. We arranged for a three days’ free training with the State Resource Centre for Adult Education. A project on adult education was conducted with female inhabitants mainly the mothers of the children of Sahaj Path of Basanti Devi Colony with a trained teacher.
